Resumen: Con el triunfo de la Revolución Gloriosa, España rompía con la
dinámica política que había mantenido durante buena parte del siglo XIX, aventurándose a establecer, por primera vez en su historia, un sistema político democrático. El Gobierno Provisional del general Serrano marcaba un antes y un después en la historia política española estableciendo una convocatoria de Cortes Constituyentes para enero de 1869, siguiendo la fórmula del sufragio universal masculino directo. Tomando como referencia la provincia de Córdoba,
analizaremos elementos tales como los partidos, los candidatos, los programas políticos o los resultados de las elecciones de enero de 1869, entre otros.

Abstract: With the triumph of Glorious Revolution, Spain breaks with the political dynamics that it was keep during the most of XIX Century, taking a chance to establish, for first time in its story, a democratic political system. The provisional government of general Serrano marks an inflectional point in Spanish political history establishing a claim for a Constituent Assembly in January of 1869, following the system of direct universal male suffrage. Taking as reference the province of Córdoba, we are going to analyse some elements such as political parties, candidates, political programmes or the results of the January 1869 elections, among others.
