Abstract

This contribution analyzes the roule of status symbols during the funus imperatorum. This inquiry applies archeological, anthropological and historical effectiveness and can be report the work of sovereins’s entourage, that conclude questions about the representation problems in imperial funeral. In this way, scrutinizes communication’s strategies of timor reverentiae, that models etiquettes of byzantine sovereign. So can be seen a new horizon in the research regarding the phenomenology of grief.
