Abstract

Archaeological analysis of an object without context, which does not come from an excavation, but is kept in the Museo Pilarista of Zaragoza. Though it has been clasified as an Arabic production from the 11th Century, it is stated that, in spite of the fact that some of its features are typical of Islamic industrial arts, the Byzantine influences outweigh. It fits into the South-Italic world, in which during the 12-13th Centuries, Roman-Oriental and Islamic arts gather together.
