Abstract

It is analyzed in this work a new document epigraphic appeared in the Farm of Periate (Piñar, Granada) in the one that mentions you for the first time in the Iberian Peninsula the Ordo Accitanorum Veterum and an individual, L. Aemilius Propinquus, to who is denominated accitanus veteris. The Hispanic municipalities are studied with the nickname Vetus: Astigi, Tucci and Acci, reaching the conclusion that these, after the foundation of their respective colonies, continued existing as independent municipalities, although they had to give part of their territory and, in occasions, to pay a compensation to Rome. The appearance of this document in Periate, where Acci Vetus is located, it is an evident test of the continuity of the municipality during the High Empire.
