Abstract

Study of a Greek inscription from Cordoba, Hispania, with φρῆν theonym. I defend the hypothesis that is not about a Greek god, but Egyptian. It has a solar character and it is heir of the egyptian old tradition of the «gods that listen to», whose invocation in Roman times acquires a magic character.
