Nuevas aportaciones sobre el Aqua Vetus Augusta y la necrópolis occidental de Colonia Patricia Corduba

Abstract

We present various discoveries that have taken place recently as a result of several archaeological works made in each development area in Córdoba, affected by the General Plan of Urban Arrangement, the MA-1 Sector, situated in the area known as Tablero Bajo in the North of Córdoba, and the Polígono de Poniente (P-1), behind the bullring. In both areas we have found new pieces of information for the study of the occidental necropolis (Partial Plan P-1) and on the water supply system to the Roman Córdoba (Partial Plam MA-1). These findings have confirmed the suspicion that we already had about the desing of the aqueduct in Valdepuentes (Aqua Vetus) and about the size of the occidental necropolis.
