Abstract

We study a new inscription from Cordoba dated in the middle of the first century B.C. that records the existence of a servitus viae fourteen feet wide imposed by the Societas Sisaponensis. We also analyse the historical and archaeological evidence trying to identify the course and the economical significance of this roman mining road. The text in an unicum in Latin epigraphy, that offers new data about rights of way in Roman Law.
