Abstract

The Iberian Peninsula has so far provided 51 Latin Epigraphs dedicated to the Lares viales, of which 18 are crowned by three foculi. The location of these monuments shows that this type of altars is an almost exclusive phenomenon of the conventus Lucensis, where they also appear associated with other deities. This text shows a catalog of the monuments and analyzes the importance of this feature, to know if this is a religious tradition or an epigraphic habit.
