Abstract

A new inscription found at Peñaflor (ancient Celti) provides valuable evidence for the epigraphic habit in Late Antiquity in the area of the Vega del Guadalquivir north of the river to the east of Seville; it also provides proof of the use of the expression servus dei, rarely found in the early Christian epigraphy of the Iberian Peninsula.
