El conflicto de Juan Crisóstomo en Occidente. Aportaciones de Ca 38

Abstract
A diferencia de otros episodios de la Antigüedad, muy poco documentados, los relacionados con la deposición de Juan Crisóstomo de la sede episcopal de Constantinopla, con el exilio y con su muerte disponen de numerosas referencias, recogidas tanto en las obras contemporáneas a los hechos como en otras posteriores. Igualmente la producción bibliográfica sobre esos acontecimientos es muy abundante y, debido precisamente a la profusión de noticias disponibles, sorprende la escasa atención prestada a la carta 38 de la Collectio Avellana en las investigaciones actuales. Esta circunstancia me ha impulsado a estudiar el documento en detalle, para comprobar si aporta novedades acerca del conflicto del Crisóstomo.
