The day of Aǧnadayn and the beginnings of the Arab conquest of Palestine

Abstract

In this article we give a comparative analysis between several sources in Arabic, Greek, Syriac, Armenian, Hebrew and Egyptian language to stablish the correct geographical and chronological location of the events that occurred in the day of Aǧnadayn. Our aim is to solve the problems about this battle to make clear the contradictions existing between the Islamic sources and its contemporary ones.
