“The History of the Rekabites”. Introduction, translation and notes

Abstract

The History of the Rekabites is a pseudepigraphon that draws extensively on Jewish sources. In its present state, it has been christianized both in its textual transmission and in its theme. In this article, we present an introduction and an annotated translation into Spanish of the Greek and the Syriac versions in parallel columns. This synoptic presentation facilitates the study of the text and makes evident the expansive character of the Syriac version.
