Reconstruction of families and social networks within the morisco community of Seville. Valenciano, Montano and Marín families

Abstract

In this paper the authors try to analyze the familiar and kinship networks of some morisco families from Almeria settled in Seville after the Alpujarras war (1568-1570). To do so, every kind of historical sources has been employed, sketching a medium-high profile of those moriscos who where involved in the primary and secondary economic sectors.
