Abstract

The access to the content of probate inventories of some of the headlines of the capiscolia of Burgos Cathedral make possible to analyse the existence of sharp contrasts between the way of life, material culture and ideological profiles of clergy with different sensibilities and moods. Some of them inclined toward more aristocratic roots usages from the past and others linked to more modern and enlightened strategies, more middle class and “progressive”.
