Abstract

In this paper the authoress analyses the social and familiar strategies of a still little-known judeoconverso lineage from Almagro (Ciudad Real), named Pisa. In the late XV century, this family found the keys to achieve its purpose of becoming part of the nobility through finances and commercial business. This social and familiar mobility is a paradigmatic case of the mobility processes which were a quite typical phenomenon in Spanish Early Modern Age.
