Abstract
This article studies the origins and development of the highbrow literature about the ecclesiastical properties between the Twelveth and the Sixteenth Centuries in Europe. These texts were created by the ecclesiastical reformist process during this age and originated the opinions and social mentalities about the ideal clergyman and his relationship with the wealth.
