Abstract

The topics which had been surrounded this study area are being fortunately surpassed thanks to the effort and dedication in this past years from some historians, today we know the apparently close society’s reality in which even the least-favored sectors, such as the judeoconverso’s sector, could climb to better positions which, teorically, were forbidden for them. The present work select, as a paradigmatic example, an egabrense family of dubious origin, the Gómez de Aguilar, who achieve in just over a century forget their clearly converso origin to make it to notable positions which are occupied by the spanish nobility.
