Estrategias de poder en el clero urbano hispalense en los siglos XVIII y XIX. Caso de las familias Paulín, Pérez de Baños y de la Barrera

Abstract

 The present paper analyses several generations of members of the Cathedral Chapter of Seville who belonged to the Paulín-Pérez de Baños-De la Barrera family. These surnames formed parte of the same family group in Seville at the beginning of the 18^th century and it has been possible to trace them until the end of the 19^th century in their relationships with the high urban clergy. This generates the goal of this research, to comprehend the possible power strategies developed by family groups in the Old Regime and the beginning of the New, understanding more deeply the systems of placement of relatives.
