Abstract

Archaeopalinology studies are very useful for ethnobotanical research. They provide us with information about the use that man has given to plants from primitive to historical epochs, what is called Palaeoethnobotany. A revision is made of the different methods used in palaeopalynological studies, such as the extraction of samples and their treatment in the laboratory, preparations, their counting and identification and finally the presentation and interpretation of results. The working method is similar to any palaeopalynological study.
