Focus and Scope

REUDAR aims to be a proactive scientific agent to enrich the European common culture that binds more than 300 millions of citizens. REUDAR aims to achieve this enrichment of the European citizenship through its historical architecture, concretely, the Roman architecture, which influence in the different European Classicism styles and is so prevalent in the European urban landscapes. REUDAR was created with a vocation of union and consensus through the scientific debate, leaded by researchers from different European countries, with contributions in all the European languages. REUDAR aims to be, in essence, a 3rd Millennium intellectual forum to share a common topic, which is sometimes scattered in a multiplicity of existing Classical Archaeology journals, with no intention of replacement. REUDAR intends to be a reference, a call for scientific creativity through the science, brightness, innovation and change inherent to our common secular identity with the Roman architecture as a driving force.

This European Journal loves the richness and semantic varieties of our European languages.  Manuscripts could be written in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. Manuscripts should be checked by a native speaker for spelling and grammar.

Contributions will be sent confidentially and anonymously to two external referees to be reviewed. These experts will not belong neither to the Editorial Committee or the Editorial Board of the Journal. They could belong to the Assessment Committee when they do not belong to the Editorial Board. The referees will submit a justified report determining the convenience about the publication of the paper. These reports will be taken into consideration by the Editorial Board in order to publish or not the manuscript. The Editorial Board will communicate to the authors if the manuscript has been admitted or rejected, and if it is admitted, the proper required modifications. If the external referees do not agree in their judgement, the manuscript will be submitted to another external referee. A reviewed document could be considered to its publication conditioned on the inclusion of the modifications. It must be modified and re-submitted to the Journal within one month, no matter the size of the modifications. The new version of the work will be submitted to the referees again if necessary. This process will continue until the work will be definitively accepted by the Journal. The authors will receive a briefing explaining the evaluation reports in order to make, if necessary, the appropriate modifications. If the work has been admitted to be published, but minor modifications must be introduced, a Drafting Committee will  perform these changes in accordance with the author, the work could also be submitted to the author to implement such modifications.
