Política de preservación de archivos digitales
Digital Preservation Policy
Esferas Literarias uses the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, which incorporates a digital preservation system to ensure the long-term accessibility and preservation of its contents.
The journal participates in the Public Knowledge Project’s Private LOCKSS Network (PKP-PLN), a decentralized preservation system distributed across collaborating libraries. This network creates permanent archives of the journal for the purpose of preserving original content and restoring it if necessary. To support this process, the PKP PN plugin (https://docs.pkp.sfu.ca/pkp-pn/en/) is enabled within the journal platform. An updated list of journals preserved by the PKP-PLN can be consulted through the PKP Preservation Network or by verifying the journal’s preservation status through the ISSN Portal.
Archived issues can also be accessed through the journal’s LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) archive: https://journals.uco.es/esferas/issue/archive
In addition, the University of Córdoba implements a range of measures to ensure the long-term accessibility and preservation of the digital resources hosted on its servers, including:
- Regular backup procedures.
- Continuous monitoring of the technological environment to anticipate possible migrations from obsolete software or file formats.
- The use of digital preservation metadata.
- The implementation of persistent identifiers, including DOI (Digital Object Identifier) and ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID).
