Abstract

In this article, the main aim is to analyse the filming resources that Salvador García Ruiz featured in his homonymous adaptation of the novel Mensaka, written by José Ángel Mañas. To this end, pointless approaches such as the auterist approach or the fidelity criticism have been omitted in order to study the cinematization of the major motif in both works: the collapse of the ideals professed by a group of friends linked to the punk movement and its principles, who, despite being on the threshold of adulthood, withstand the entry into the labour market and engage in activities considered socially undesirable.
