ARCHAEOLOGY AND LOCAL PRESS IN CORDOBA DURING THE LAST QUARTER OF THE 20TH CENTURY: A COMPLICATED RELATIONSHIP

Abstract

This present study analyzes the relathionship, in some moments difficult and contentious, between archaeological research developed in Córdoba and the local press during the last quarter of the 20th century. To this end, it has been conducted a consultation and review of articles appeared in the Diario Córdoba. The main objetive of this study is to evaluate the treatmen that the press of Córdoba gave to the Archaeology in all of its facets, from chance finds to scientific excavations or crimes against Archeological Patrimony, from the end of Francoist Spain and the beginning of the 21th century.
