Sibulco, a site to discover

Abstract

Since immemorial times the existence of Sibulco has been known, a protohistoric site placed in the deepest Montoro mountain range (Córdoba), and which harbours within it many questions yet to be answered. In the following article, we will attempt to show the physical environment of the area, describe the site, expose the existing material remains, we will carry out a review of the historiography on the interpretations that certain researchers have provided to Sibulco and we will observe the role that the deposit plays in its environment and context. Finally, we will offer a series of hypotheses that allow us to approach the meaning of Sibulco within the period that we will be treated.
