A testimony of the Medieval Hispania about Las Fadas rite

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present and discuss briefly a passage from the anonymous treatise On the Mohammedan sect (MS Escurialensis h-II-25), second half of XIV century, on the ritual of Las Fadas, a birth ceremony practiced in Medieval Spain by Muslims and Jews.
