Formative Research as a Learning Methodology in the Faculty of Electronic and Electrical Engineering
Main Article Content
Abstract
The essay focuses on the analysis of the historical evolution of the Faculty of Electronic and Electrical Engineering (FIEE) of a public university, as well as on the creation and development of the formative research course. In its development, the steps for the acquisition of research competencies are explored, from the use of the qualitative approach with designs of the scientific method, the use of methodology based on the quality of information for the deep understanding of the phenomena studied, the integration of technology with digital tools, electronic databases and the use of artificial intelligence. Academic management is another of its strengths, which adapts the curricular implementation to configure the curriculum according to the competencies required in the professional profile of the graduates. The result of this process is the elaboration of academic products, which are evidenced in the production of review articles in IMRYD format. In conclusion, this proposal analyzes how FIEE approaches teaching and learning in the context of and for research, pointing out the importance of teacher training, professional experience and quality management in the certification of engineering programs.
