Abstract
In this volume of the Revista Española de Filosofía Medieval I present a Spanish translation of Al-Farabi's Epistle on the intellect. In this article, the author claims to show the context in that this work is located and to offer a brief comment, in which stands out the central paper that the Active Intellect plays in the thought of Al-Farabi.
