Abstract

This article studies the thought of those Holy Fathers who most vigorously opposed Astrology (Saint Augustine, Saint Gregory, and Saint Isidore) as the primary source of negative arguments in the medieval Christian debate about the validity of Astrology until the arrival of translations of Arabic astronomical works.
