This work is part of the research carried out as part of a doctoral thesis that studies the terminology and translation of texts in the Spanish-Arabic language pair for migrants. It therefore presents, by way of example, how a specific textual corpus for the study of the Spanish-Arabic terminology of texts related to migration, asylum and refuge has been elaborated. This is therefore a key activity for the subsequent terminological study to be carried out in the context of a larger research project. We start from the premise that the translator's documentary competence is fundamental when carrying out contrastive studies, especially when dealing with two languages as different as Spanish and Arabic. For this reason, it is necessary to carefully review the documentary sources and make an appropriate selection of texts in order to obtain reliable and real results.
