Abstract

This paper focuses on the expresion of the grief and sorrow in the medieval German poetry, taking three liric subgeneres as a model: crusade-, women- and down-songs; all of them belong to the so-called Minnesang, or poem-songs in which the courtly love is showed. So will be determinated the premises of the courtly code and the female and male role in these poems.
