The Crossing of the Sea in the Hebrew Bible and Current Scientific Paradigm shifts. Biblical Philology and Archeology in Dialogue Filología y Arqueología bíblica en diálogo

Abstract

The «ontological turn» that the Social Sciences try to give from the «linguistic turn» we see present in the biblical text thanks to the overcoming of the double plane, of presence and absence, of the linguistic sign in the origin of the proto-Sinaitic. As an example, here, from the oldest geological map of the world (Papyrus of Turin 1879 / 1899 / 1969), complementary language where the elements of a three-dimensional reality are transferred to a reduced two-dimensional space, the Song of the Sea present in the Hebrew Bible is «archaeologically thought» from the phonetic reminiscence of the sea,  ים סוף (yamsuf), and the ibis, ינשוף (yansuf), representation of the Egyptian divinity of writing. As well as the material image of the divided sea can be «theoretically oriented» considering the same narrative temporal continuum that we find in this Song and the Wonderful Tales of the Westcar papyrus, the first fictional story we possess of Ancient Egypt.
