Abstract

This article deals with poetry and songs performed particularly by women in the Bedouin dialect of the Maṛāzīg tribe in Southern Tunisia. The poems are transcribed and translated. It is differentiated between ġnē which means simply “song” and ṛubbāž which are lullabies.
