Abstract

The main objective of this educational innovation article is to describe, step by step, the design and the implementation of a motivating didactic resource where the students will be given the opportunity to learn meaningfully and, where they can integrate both languages (their mother tongue and a second language). Thus, the design of a bilingual university radio is described herein, through which the students on their own will organize, and create their own programs with the help of the coordinating teachers. The design of this project is mainly inclusive due to it is addressed to the whole educational community (they can participate in the project when they wish). The final objective of this project is that students not only practice their oral skills (both in English and Spanish), but they will also be able to acquire meaningful knowledge about different topics of public interest, related also with their professional field. Furthermore, they will improve their critical thinking thanks to their participation in the different sections of the program. The design of this project is fundamentally inclusive because it addresses to the whole educational community. We will conclude that the implementation of a project such as this is a process that will bring high benefits for the whole educational community, even to non-participating students and teachers who will be given the opportunity to learn from what others are actively doing.
