Review article of:
Kelley Helmstutler Di Dio, Shipping Sculptures from Early Modern Italy. The Mechanics, Costs, Risks, and Rewards, Harvey Miller, London 2025.
Over the past few decades, mobility has attracted sustained and growing attention within the scholarly community. By focusing on the processes through which people, objects, and ideas move across space and time, mobility studies raise a crucial set of questions and offer methodological approaches that are relevant across the humanities.
