Alfabetización estadística oficial: vistazo a su dimensión objetiva en República Popular Democrática de Corea

Resumen
El presente trabajo tiene como propósito explorar las características del sistema estadístico estatal de la República Popular Democrática de Corea (RPDC) mediante los elementos teóricos proporcionados por la alfabetización estadística oficial (OSL), en la que se enfatizó su dimensión objetiva. Tal interés se origina a partir de cierta escasez de datos sobre dicho país en ese campo. Para ello, se recolectó información proveniente de la Agencia Central de Noticias de Corea (KCNA), la misma que fue organizada de acuerdo con los elementos de OSL. Entre los principales hallazgos, se precisó la existencia de un organismo central de estadísticas, el vínculo de los datos con las necesidades del país y su no aislamiento con respecto a la información estadística internacional. A pesar del amplio acceso de los coreanos a los datos estadísticos, se necesita investigar en sus habilidades de manejo de estos.
