Women's participation in the supervision of doctoral theses in the stem field: the situation in Andalusian universities
Main Article Content
Abstract
Different social groups have been promoting policies and practices that integrate women in all fields, including science, especially in the STEM field. On the other hand, it is well known that the completion of a doctoral thesis is the first step in the process of learning to do research on the part of new scientists. For this reason, it is of interest and topical interest to know the participation of women in the training of new doctors in the role of supervising doctoral theses. We have taken as a sample the production of theses in the STEM field in Andalusian public universities in the period 2010-2022. It has been observed that there is an under-representation of women in these roles in all STEM fields
