Call for Papers: REFIME 26/2019

Revista Española de Filosofía Medieval is a yearly scholarly publication indexed, peer-reviewed, and distributed by UCO Press. Regularly published since 1993, Revista is indexed in Scopus, Philosopher’s Index (PHI), ISOC - Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades, Répertoire Bibliographique de la Philosophie (RBPH), Regesta Imperii, Dialnet and EBSCO. The journal is published with the financial support of the Sociedad de Filosofía Medieval (SOFIME), printed and distributed, also in open access, by UCO Press.

 

Revista Española de Filosofía Medieval aims at providing scholarship with cutting-edge contributions to the history of Premodern philosophy and science. Papers on any aspect related to Premodern philosophical and scientific knowledge are most welcomed, although the main interest of the journal ultimately resides in the philosophical analysis of problems and doctrines held by Premodern thinkers. Papers examining historical context and philological aspects related to authors, texts, and doctrines are much appreciated, as well as wider contributions to the history of practices and instruments which shaped Premodern doctrine and disciplines. We encourage particularly submission of papers engaging with problems of cross-cultural transmission of knowledge among premodern socio-cultural, religious, and linguistic niches.

 

Submission deadline: 1 July 2019

 

Contributions will be evaluated through a blind peer-review process within 6 weeks from the submission deadline. Authors will be informed of the outcomes of the selection process by 1 October 2019. Please note that papers not following the journal stylesheet will not be admitted. Norms of style can be consulted online at:
