Abstract

The collaborative hosting market is seeing strong growth in recent years. This means, on the one hand, an opportunity to stimulate economic growth and employment in a strategic sector such as tourism; but, on the other hand, it raises important regulatory challenges that seem like keys to take advantage of the benefits of this new economy. The present study reflects on this issue in order to identify the elements of better regulation in the tourist hosting market based on a study of the regulatory attempts of the autonomic regulatory bodies, paying particular attention to the case of Andalusia, as it is the most successful experience in this area.
