The look and the dialogue of Pedro Poyato with the cinema

Abstract

On the occasion of the academic tribute being prepared for Dr. Pedro Poyato Sánchez at the University of Córdoba, his Alma Mater, those of us joining this celebration from the University of Valladolid do so for a twofold reason, both academic and personal: as expression of recognition for his many contributions to the study of cinematographic art, and in remembrance of shared experiences, both personal and professional, despite the distance separating the campuses of our respective universities —the Caliphal city and these was temporary former seat of the Royal Court. Such distance has not prevented members of both Universities from collaborating with and accompanying Professor Poyato through numerous personal and professional experiences.
