Abstract

Through the specific examination of nominal appositions, this paper analyzes the discursive stylization of Camacho’s radio soap operas in Vargas Llosa’s La tía Julia y el escribidor. An inquiry into the translations that have been proposed for the nominal appositions and its most immediate context in the German versions allows us to approach the author’s attitude regarding the limits of humor, fiction and generic categories. At the same time, it shows that style and meaning are inextricably linked.
