The editorial team of CODEX. Anuario de Ciencias Histórico‑Jurídicas declares that its policy on the use of generative artificial intelligence follows the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

In CODEX. Anuario de Ciencias Histórico-Jurídicas, authorship and content responsibility are always human. The use of AI tools to generate arguments, analysis, or substantive manuscript sections is not allowed.

Authors may use AI only for superficial style improvements or language correction, ensuring that the final text remains entirely the responsibility of the author.

Reviewers and the editorial team may not use AI to evaluate manuscripts; all review and editorial decisions must be made by humans.

Any misuse of AI beyond language editing may result in manuscript rejection according to the journal’s ethical guidelines. This policy ensures the originality, transparency, and integrity of scholarly publication in CODEX.
