El sustrato republicano en la política contemporánea española

España es el único país europeo en el que en el siglo XX se produjo una restauración monárquica. Aunque no existe ningún partido de ámbito nacional que en su denominación haga alusión al republicanismo, no es menos cierto que en España hay un republicanismo político y social presente en la vida política, y que en
los últimos meses haya hecho, unido a los escándalos que afectan al anterior monarca, que haya estado presente en los debates parlamentarios actuales.
En el presente trabajo realizamos un recorrido histórico por el republicanismo español, al que dividimos en tres etapas que a groso modo vienen a coincidir con los siglos XIX, XX y XXI. A través de este viaje por el tiempo pretendemos encontrar los elementos que conforman el republicanismo español, y que configuran un sustrato ideológico de la política española y que reaparece en los momentos críticos de la historia contemporánea española
