La institución del comisario regio ha sido señalada por un sector de la historiografía como un elemento relevante del periodo histórico caracterizado por la denominada monarquía administrativa. En España esta figura fue creada por José Bonaparte, de manera que su estudio no sólo aporta conocimiento sobre una realidad institucional más, sino que nos premite cuestionar la tipificación historiográfica de ese reinado. Para ello, el presente trabajo parte de la regulación general del comisario regio y se centra en el análisis de una práctica institucional concreta: el caso granadino
