El psicoanálisis existencial de Sartre y su aplicación en Baudelaire

Abstract

This is a first application of the Sartrian phenomenological psychoanalysis to a 19th century poet, done in 1947 and starting from the recurrent topic in the discussion of Baudelaire: "Il n'a pas eu la vie qu'il méritait". In his essay, Sartre argues that the poet, ever since his mother's second marriage, chooses to be her own executioner. With this purpose in mind, the writer departs from five basic points: painful perception, boredom, moral conformism, satanism and a taste for painfulness.
