Abstract

The Pre-Raphaelites was a mid-19th century aesthetic literary movement where the same components shared a wide range of artistic interests: initially painters and plastic artists, they cultivated poetry as an essential part of their aesthetic expression of their ideas and persuations. In the present monographic work a translation ¡s offered of study several poems or fragments of poems belonging to prominent authors of that group. The authors approached and translated in this study are: Dante G. Rossetti, Christina Rossetti, William Morris and A. Charles Swinburne, who in our opinion are best representative writers of the Pre-Raphaelite aesthetic.
