Abstract

The topic of the origin of the language has always interested to the man. To be able to set up the problem of the origin of the language in a scientific point we must disregard religious prejudices, philosophical or psychological analogies and to locate us in an a visión of the man without the cartesian dualism. Only from a monistic materialistic point of view will be able to establish some affirmations that make sense. When did the man begin to speak? The question would be: what minimal elements of neurological evolution and of the phonation system are necessary to establish the possibility of the appearance of the language in the chain of the evolution? Can language be considered something substantially different of an instinctive communication or it can be considered a more complex instinctive communication? With respect to the instant in which language appears, the current state of the theories about the moment of the appearance of language oscillates between those which assess its birth 50.000 years ago, as a result of a mutation of the central part of the brain. For others it ts considered an evolutionary process of roughly million years that appeared at the moment that we can speak of a genus homo.
