Abstract

To Rebolledo his diplomatic experience in the context of the religious wars and the Spanish imperial decline opens a new world, full of exoticism no less than the American new lands. In his poem, the Selvas dánicas (1655), extends his view on the history and space of the Danish land, forming their vision, plus about poetic models, including basic humanistic scholarship and thresholds of the new experimental science, but always her look dyed of surprise and sense of exile or foreignness. Between the cracks of these elements a particular image of wonder sprouts.
