Evaluation of online newspaper reading habits in information science undergraduates: the case of Spain and Portugal (2017)

Abstract
This article includes the results of two discussion groups on the subject of online newspaper reading habits, conducted in 2017 with Spanish and Portuguese Information Science undergraduates. The focus group technique was used to observe the process of reading the same newspaper both in print and digital format. For decoding in the digital format, the following devices were used: laptop, mobile phone, iPad and e-reader. Later a discussion with the students about the advantages and disadvantages of each format and device was conducted. The results will give us an insight into the reading habits of Information Science undergraduates in Spain and Portugal, including the similarities and differences between them.
