Mathematics Education in Iberoamerica: A bibliometric study in SSCI

Abstract

The objective of this research is to carry out a bibliometric study of the scientific production on Mathematics Education produced in Ibero-America and indexed in the Web of Science (WoS) database in the period between 2000-2020. To carry out this study, the data pertaining to the indexed documents was downloaded from the WoS database. Based on the frequency count, patterns such as document production by year and language were identified, as well as the most productive institutions.


An increase in co-authorship and and an increase of the degree of collaboration between authors was found. Bradford distribution was also calculated for this subject. It was found to be made up of three journals, two of which are published in the Ibero-American region.
