Twenty-five years of research in Mathematics Education in Spain: bibliometric and thematic analysis
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study offers a bibliometric analysis of scientific output in mathematics education in Spain between 2000 and 2024, based on 657 articles published in 33 specialized journals. The results show sustained growth in research in this area. International collaboration reveals a moderately dense network, structured in Ibero-American and European clusters, with Spain acting as a coordinating hub. Institutional analysis indicates a strong geographical concentration of production in Andalusia and Catalonia. Thematically, the field is diverse, combining established lines of research with theoretical frameworks typical of the Ibero-American tradition and emerging approaches linked to technology.
